Limbaugh & Listeners on the Same Side as Taliban

"Our president is a worldwide joke. Folks, do you realize something has happened here that we all agree with the Taliban and Iran about and that is he doesn't deserve the award. Now that's hilarious, that I'm on the same side of something that the Taliban, and that we all are on the same side as the Taliban."  Rush Limbaugh

After this proclamation that Limbaugh is on the same side as the Taliban, and he believes his listeners are as well, I wonder just how long it will be before the Secret Service comes knocking on his door?  Now dear readers, I can't speak for you, but I think this is a very un-American thing to say.

First there is the problem of mocking the President for receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.  I don't care whether you think President Obama actually deserves to be honored or not.  We should be damned proud that a sitting American president has received this honor.  I think the award speaks more to the hopes and expectations of the entire global community than it does to any individual accomplishments.  President Obama has extended the hand of diplomacy to our traditional enemies rather than fall back on threats of sanctions and military action.  This alone is a major step forward in creating a safer world for all of us.  His support of nuclear disarmament is another major step forward in creating a safer world.

Secondly, since when is it pro-American to side with our stated enemies on any issue?  I simply can not fathom, even in my wildest imagination, how agreement with the Taliban equals supporting America and American ideals.

I can't help but wonder other ideas from the Taliban are in step with Limbaugh and his ditto heads.  What other ultra-conservative groups sound like Limbaugh and his horde of sheeple?  Where have I heard ultra nationalistic  Christian rhetoric before? Hmmm. . . .

"Stay firm in your convictions. Keep loving your heritage and keep witnessing to others that there is a better way than a war torn, violent, wicked, socialist, new world order. That way is the Christian way - law and order - love of family - love of nation. These are the principles of western Christian civilization. There is a war to destroy these things. Pray that our people see the error of their ways and regain a sense of loyalty. Repent  America! Be faithful my fellow believers."  Pastor Thomas Robb (National Director KKK)

"The problem we have in America is the systematic erosion of our religious values in an attempt by certain liberal groups to expunge our Christian heritage from the public square."  Pat Robertson

“The National Government will regard it as its first and foremost duty to revive in the nation the spirit of unity and cooperation. It will preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national morality, and the family as the basis of national life.”Adolph Hitler, Proclamation to the German Nation, 1933

We must not be silent. Speak out. Speak up. Support your President.

"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it."  Martin Luther King, Jr.

  1. Even liberal pundits admit President Obama hasn't actually accomplished anything worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize. Good intentions are commendable, but please!

It cheapens the award to give it to someone who as yet doesn't deserve it. Do you realize he was nominated after only 2 weeks in office? What were they thinking?

  2. Hey Anonymous, why not ask the Norwegians who awarded the Prize?

CLICK HERE and read their justification for yourself. Call them up and tell them they made a mistake. Bet they would be just tickled pink to hear from YOU.

Obama has as President created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play. Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations. Thanks to Obama's initiative, the USA is now playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic challenges the world is confronting. Democracy and human rights are to be strengthened.
