Sunday, Snarky Sunday

.
It’s back! It’s BIGGER! It’s bolder! It’s Snarky Sunday! Woot!

Okay, so it’s not impressive, but I’m back and not a minute too soon it seems. American politics is rife with scandal. Seems there is a new one every year, but some scandals make it into the history books. It all started with Tenuregate and the impeachment of President Andrew Johnson because he fired his Secretary of War without permission from Congress. Watergate took down President Richard Nixon. Then there was Lewinskygate that stained President William Clinton’s presidency (not to mention Ms. Lewinsky’s blue dress). Now we have Weinergate. This has to be the most ironic “gate” of all “gates.” Representative Anthony Weiner (D-NY) got caught up sending pictures of his, er . . . weiner round the interwebs. Now Nancy Pelosi and other Democrat leaders are calling for Weiner to resign.

How much would you pay to read Sarah Palin’s email? How about $15 million? No? Okay, then how about $725.97?

Speaking of Sarah Palin, did you know that she doesn’t know much about American history? C’mon I know it sounds incredible, but it’s true! Palin recently claimed that Paul Revere made his famous midnight ride and “warned the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms.” Uh, Sarah . . . honey. Nope. We didn’t even have a Constitution in 1775, much less a 2nd Amendment. Instead of admitting her mistake, she tried to defend it as accurate and the problem once again is the lubrul media and their gotcha! questions. Bad librul media.

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives and potential 2012 Presidential candidate, Newt Gringrich has a few job openings if anyone is interested. His staff resigned claiming that Newt’s vision for the direction of his campaign was incompatible with their views. Hmmmm . . . . waiting for another skeleton to pop out of the closet.

Some good news – Medicaid coverage will extend to same-sex partners. California same-sex couples get a blessing from an Episcopal Bishop. The times, they are a-changin’.

Did you know that Walmart banned Nazi tee shirts way back in 2006? But Walmart also banned Kanye West’s new album too. Schools frequently prohibit students from wearing offensive shirts to school. You best not show up to court wearing a tee shirt either.

Did you know tee shirts are worn by cult members? If you see someone wearing a cult tee shirt, check out How Cults Work for information that you might need to know, you know . . . in case you are planning an intervention or somethin’.
