Many states have victim services that range from notification of offender status, such as Kentucky's VINE service and offender look up services, support groups and counseling.
Keep track of your abuser's probation and/or incarceration status by locating your state's services and periodically checking the page. VINE notifies victims of any change in incarceration or probation status via automated telephone calls, text messages and email alerts. The Brady Bill prohibits offenders from possessing or attempting to purchase a firearm. You can sign up to be alerted if your abuser attempts to purchase a firearm.
