Pathetic

I see you
You have nothing
But big dreams
And little talent
Pretend little man
Cheap, used suits
From the charity store
Don't make you a man
You don't clean up
As well as you think
Greasy, bloated
Pathetic

I see you
You have nothing
But big promises
And no substance
A little bird told me
There will be
No wedding bells
You aren't the only one
Who knows how to lie
You don't clean up
As well as you think
Beer belly, pimpled
Pathetic

I see you
You have nothing
But a raggedy car
Dead man's clothes
Putting on a big show
For losers
And fools
Shit stained drawers
You don't clean up
As well as you think
Disgusting, stinking
Pathetic

I see you
Admit to reading
Drawn like a moth
A little bird told me
If I had stayed
That bird wants
You to fly away
You don't clean up
As well as you think
Cheater, liar
Pathetic

You can't see
The vile creature
Inside you
Utterly devoid
Of love or compassion
A shadow of
A human being
An empty vessel
A shell
You don't clean up
As well as you think
You can't wash off
The stink of your pathetic life
