What you do to stop domestic violence?
Don't turn a blind eye and deaf ear to domestic violence. If you are a victim of domestic violence, or if you see or hear domestic violence, call the police. Follow through by prosecuting the offender.
Educate yourself. Read about domestic violence, attend lectures and get involved by supporting your local domestic violence prevention organizations and shelters.
Support victims of domestic violence. Offer help, such as a safe place to stay, information and telephone numbers for domestic violence support groups, safe houses and shelters.
If you are a survivor of domestic violence, speak out! Share your story of survival with others. Your story can inspire another to get out and get help.
