Another child was shot and killed in Kentucky by another child. According to LEX18.com no charges will be filed against the mother who went outside the home leaving her 2 year old daughter in the home with her 5 year old and his loaded birthday rifle. The 5 year old shot and killed his 2 year old sister. According to Kentucky State Police officer, Billy Gregory (as reported by AATTP), the shooting has been ruled an accident. “It’s just one of those nightmares,” he said, “a quick thing that happens when you turn your back.”
We cannot tolerate another one of these "accidents." It's time to demand that the Kentucky legislature address the irresponsibility of these "responsible" gun owners. I have created a petition directed at the Kentucky legislature proposing legislation to hold negligent, reckless and careless gun owners responsible for deaths and injuries caused by their failure to secure their guns.
