NO BRAVERY BANNED BY REDBUBBLE.COM

No Bravery
James Blunt

There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
Tears drying on their face.
He has been here.

Brothers lie in shallow graves.
Fathers lost without a trace.
A nation blind to their disgrace,
Since he's been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

Houses burnt beyond repair.
The smell of death is in the air.
A woman weeping in despair says,
He has been here.

Tracer lighting up the sky.
It's another families' turn to die.
A child afraid to even cry out says,
He has been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
But no one asks the question why,
He has been here.

Old men kneel to accept their fate.
Wives and daughters cut and raped.
A generation drenched in hate.
Yes, he has been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

Censorship is alive and well all around the globe. People do not want to see the truth because to do so would require that they admit the truth.

The above Pulitzer Prize winning photo by Nick Ut
would be banned by those guidelines.

  1. You have got to be kidding me, all that RB could see in your work was that the baby's corpse is naked!? The Red Cross estimated there have been 80,000 deaths in Iraq caused by the US 'incursion', mostly women and children, like that one. But the mutilation and butchering of women, children and the elderly should be OK by Redbubble, so long as you don't show their genitals. I remember Redbubble, it became a coven for extreme right-wing and Republican propagandists. I was banned for calling them a coven. Good fucking riddance.
