Thinking himself beautiful
Proud was he
A mere shadow he saw
Nemesis knowing, lured him
Enticing him with nothing
But pride and lies
A mere shadow of a man
At the edge, he stared
And loved himself alone
Until he died
Not even a shadow remains
Who knows his name?
What is his legacy
But pride and lies?
Tenuous shadows fade
Nemesis smiles
